The popular Murano competes with a lot of popular crossovers, some with more room and some with more sophisticated powertrains--and some with both.
The Toyota Highlander and Lexus RX both have smoother performance and available hybrid versions, and the Highlander also offers more seats, but both are less striking.
The Mazda CX-7 is more compact, like the Murano, with great handling for the class.
The Subaru Tribeca is a slow seller, with its more cramped interior feeling much more refined than the Murano's.
The Ford Edge now has an edge with its efficient turbocharged four-cylinder model and with MyFord Touch, its LCD- and voice-driven system for controlling audio, phone, climate, and navigation.
