How does the
TCC Rating work?
The TCC Rating is a clear numeric rating value based on a 10-point scale that reflects the overall opinion of our automotive experts on any vehicle and rolls up ratings we give each vehicle across sub-categories you care about like performance, safety, styling and more.

Our rating also has simple color-coded “Stop” (red), “Caution” (orange),
or “Go” (green) messages along with the numerical score so you can easily understand where we stand at a glance.

Our automotive experts then also collect and show you what other websites say about these different aspects of any vehicle. We do this leg work for you to simplify your research process.

The Cube's competitors just aren't quite as, ehem, cubic as this little Nissan.

The Scion xD has similar sizing, but with a smaller rear seat and cargo area.

The current xB feels smaller inside than the Cube, despite being a larger vehicle.

It's a better driver on the highways, but its fuel economy isn't as good.

The Kia Soul is probably the best alternative, especially for people who enjoy driving; it handles wells and gets better gas mileage.

However, it's less refined inside.

If you're willing to spend a bit more, the MINI Cooper Clubman also makes for a quirky alternative, but again, options make its price rocket in a hurry.

Compared to the Toyota Prius, the 2014 Ford C-Max Hybrid and C-Max Energi provide more driving enjoyment as well as a more comfortable, stylish interior -- even if they don't quite measure up in real-world fuel efficiency.

The 2014 Kia Soul doesn’t stray from its iconic profile, but it dons more sophistication inside and underneath—with fewer compromises and all in the name of city-friendly, tall-wagon goodness.
