While the SLS AMG GT stands alone as the gullwing car in this group, each has its own mix of luxury and serious speed.

The Maserati GranTurismo and Ferrari California offer their own brands of passionate styling, while being quick and fun-to-drive in their own right.

The Porsche 911 is a scalpel to most of the rest of this group's sledgehammer, with refined and precise driving characteristics, though it may not score as high on the panache scale.

Audi's R8 is a strong alternative on both design and performance fronts, particularly in top-of-the-line R8 V10 Plus form.
