How does the
TCC Rating work?
The TCC Rating is a clear numeric rating value based on a 10-point scale that reflects the overall opinion of our automotive experts on any vehicle and rolls up ratings we give each vehicle across sub-categories you care about like performance, safety, styling and more.

Our rating also has simple color-coded “Stop” (red), “Caution” (orange),
or “Go” (green) messages along with the numerical score so you can easily understand where we stand at a glance.

Our automotive experts then also collect and show you what other websites say about these different aspects of any vehicle. We do this leg work for you to simplify your research process.

Our expert editors build comparisons like this one to make it easy for you to understand the small handful of cars you should compare to whatever car you are already looking at. You get general thoughts on each car you should consider plus an easy way to compare basic information for yourself.

The Maserati GranTurismo's four plush seats and brilliant handling make it a rare bird in the luxury sport coupe segment.

The Jaguar XK, for example, is only available as a two-seater, though it packs its own British flair for style and luxury; it's the most logical alternative to the GranTurismo.

The Porsche 911 offers four seats and even more inspired performance, but lacks the rear-seat space and the passionate styling of the Maserati.

Ferrari's California is a pricey jump from the GranTurismo, but its folding hardtop and Prancing Horse badge may justify the splurge.

Aston Martin's Vantage line offers an upgrade from the Jaguar's prestige, with similar traits, and a new V12 Vantage S model for the 2014 model year makes it the only one of this group to offer a V-12 engine.

The 2014 Porsche 911 range spans a broad spectrum, but somehow manages to hit exactly the right marks at each point, balancing performance, features, and practicality almost perfectly.

The 2014 Aston Martin Vantage isn't the rarest of the brand's offerings, but it might be the most fun--and the best value.
As the entry point to Ferrari ownership, the 2014 California balances performance, style, and practicality surprisingly well.
