Infotainment and connectivity are the new battleground in luxury vehicles, and no crossover fields as much content as the 2013 Lincoln MKX.

The battle is drawing closer, though: the 2013 SRX gets CUE, Cadillac's touchscreen system that uses iPad-like touch and voice controls in the same way as MyLincoln Touch.

Lexus' Remote Touch mouse controller runs functions on most versions of the RX 350; unlike its competitors, the Lexus also comes in hybrid trim, though fuel-economy benefits are debatable.

For those who still care about ruggedness, the redesigned Volkswagen Touareg still boasts decent off-road ability.

Finally, the Volvo XC60 has a serene cabin and lovely styling, as well as class-leading safety technology and crash-test scores, but infotainment systems and gas mileage that lag the category.
