The 2013 Lincoln MKT is a showboat in many ways.

While there are plenty of competitors, all strong in their own ways, none of them are quite as distinctive.

The Acura MDX really fits into the crowd, although its big eight-passenger interior and anonymous looks have glints of personality, although its overly light steering and general lack of charm inside are turnoffs.

The Audi Q7 is all about being tasteful, but it's quite expensive the way you'd really want to own it (as a diesel).

The Buick Enclave is more graceful, almost polite, but it's missing some of the tech features and the turbocharger from the big Lincoln, and simply doesn't drive was well.

The Ford Flex is closely related to the MKT and might warrant some consideration; even some luxury shoppers are going to find its boxy shape and MINI or Range Rover references to be a bit more handsome.
