The Range Rover Evoque is, hands-down, our pick for the most attractive in the luxury crossover segment, but there are attractive alternatives with different capabilities, sizes, and features in a similar price range.
BMW's X6, for instance, is larger and perhaps more recognizable, though much of that recognition is based on its controversial, and to many, ugly shape; the X6 isn't appreciably better to drive, either.
Infiniti's QX70 (which used to be called the FX) is nearly as odd as the X6 in appearance; though it's a potent driver's car in V-8 form, it's also very expensive.
Audi's Q5 might be the most logical pick in this group, with competitive features, clean styling inside and out, but it comes off a bit flat-footed in performance and cool in execution.
Volvo's XC60 is more safety-conscious (at least in marketing), but also somewhat frumpier; BMW's X3 is fun and car-like in its own right, but not nearly as unique in appearance or feel as the Evoque.
