2014 INFINITI Q50 vs. Its Competition

2014 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid Sport

The Infiniti Q50 has some NBA-sized shoes to fill, succeeding the well-loved G37 sedan.

The Q50 is a gorgeous car, which lends it an edge on its German rivals, though it still lacks the prestige of a BMW 3-Series or a Mercedes-Benz C-Class--not to mention a true challenger for the M3 or C63 AMG.

The Lexus IS makes bold progress this year too, though on first look, it's a pretty afterthought compared to the knockout Q50.

Finally, there's the Audi A4; trimmed out as an S4, it's more a contender for the MBAs and partner-track types who grok to these cars.

The Cadillac ATS might remains its closest rival, but we have to reserve judgment on how the two match up until we can get some time on our favorite canyon roads.
