How does the
TCC Rating work?
The TCC Rating is a clear numeric rating value based on a 10-point scale that reflects the overall opinion of our automotive experts on any vehicle and rolls up ratings we give each vehicle across sub-categories you care about like performance, safety, styling and more.

Our rating also has simple color-coded “Stop” (red), “Caution” (orange),
or “Go” (green) messages along with the numerical score so you can easily understand where we stand at a glance.

Our automotive experts then also collect and show you what other websites say about these different aspects of any vehicle. We do this leg work for you to simplify your research process.

Our expert editors build comparisons like this one to make it easy for you to understand the small handful of cars you should compare to whatever car you are already looking at. You get general thoughts on each car you should consider plus an easy way to compare basic information for yourself.

The BMW 3-Series remains the top rival to the G37; it also has great dynamics and near-perfect steering, though our editors like the steering feel of the G37 best.

On the other hand, the 3-Series is more refined, composed, and day-to-day livable—especially if you reside in a place with rough roads.

The new Audi A4 is another top rival, with its rear-biased Quattro all-wheel-drive system promising more driving enjoyment, plus top-notch materials and a cohesive design inside and out.

For those who want a sporty but comfortable choice, the Lexus IS would work; its interior is a bit more cramped and it doesn't feel as sporty overall, but otherwise it's comfortable.

The Acura TL is a slight step up in interior space, and in TL-SH guise it can be a lot of fun to drive; however it's somewhat less racy-looking.

The 2012 Lexus IS 350 and IS 350 aren't as focused and fun to drive as sport sedans from BMW or Infiniti, though especially in F Sport guise they still look great.
