2012 INFINITI EX35 vs. Its Competition

With its great road manners and tight rear quarters, the Infiniti EX35 is a distinctive choice in the luxury crossover class.

It's most like the Acura RDX, which is also small behind the driver's seat; we prefer the EX35's interior to the Acura's, which lacks a rich, warm feel, though we love the RDX's whizzy turbo four.

The Audi Q5 is quite luxurious and handsome, but can ride harshly and gets quite expensive.

Volvo's XC60 has lots of safety technology and a sleek interior, with great cargo space, but it's not as engaging to drive as the EX35.

For about the same money, you could buy something much larger and much less sporty--something like the Lincoln MKX, a Top Safety Pick with advanced voice and touchscreen controls.
