2011 Hyundai Santa Fe vs. Its Competition

The Hyundai Santa Fe is sized between mid-size and compact, so it lands between Toyota's RAV4 and the Toyota Highlander.

Both the Highlander and the RAV4 offer a small third-row seat, but the Santa Fe no longer does.

The Honda Pilot looks big and boxy—more like a traditional SUV—yet it's actually quite carlike in the way it rides and drives.

Closer to the Santa Fe in size is the Ford Edge, which feels sportier than the Santa Fe and soon will offer a turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

However next to most of these models, the Hyundai is especially easy to maneuver and park.

Compared to the Santa Fe, Kia's Sorento is now looking like a more appealing package, overall, with more finely honed styling as well as better steering and handling.
