How does the
TCC Rating work?
The TCC Rating is a clear numeric rating value based on a 10-point scale that reflects the overall opinion of our automotive experts on any vehicle and rolls up ratings we give each vehicle across sub-categories you care about like performance, safety, styling and more.

Our rating also has simple color-coded “Stop” (red), “Caution” (orange),
or “Go” (green) messages along with the numerical score so you can easily understand where we stand at a glance.

Our automotive experts then also collect and show you what other websites say about these different aspects of any vehicle. We do this leg work for you to simplify your research process.

The new CR-Z cuts across the coupe spectrum in a new way, but no doubt shoppers like you will be looking for comps.

For iconic style, you’d be hard-pressed to find more recognizable shapes than those worn by the inevitably pricey MINI Cooper or the tired, uncompetitive Volkswagen New Beetle.

The Mitsu Eclipse is old and thirsty, but V-6 versions are truly quick, at least.

The Scion tC isn’t quite as miserly on gas, but it’s better-looking than the CR-Z and gets a new edge in its 2011 redo.

Finally, the new Ford Fiesta five-door has more room, spot-on styling, and better highway fuel economy than the CR-Z.
