There are many three-row crossover models with seating space close to that of the Flex, but none of them have its crowd-pleasing interior, not its quirky head-turning exterior.

The Buick Enclave has its own curvaceous charm, but its V-6 is throatier and even with improvements for 2013 its cabin doesn't look quite as luxurious as that of the Ford.

The Honda Pilot is a strong entry, but all the tacky, grainy plastic on the dash of the latest version make it less desirable.

The Chrysler Town & Country is a practical pick that can be equipped with as many features at a lower price.

The Range Rover Sport is a model that has something close to the Flex's exterior style, yet it costs more and isn't nearly as practical.

The Lincoln MKT is closely related to the Flex but lacks the Ford's swagger from the outside.
