Aside from the Porsche Boxster, it's the most serious sports car in the group, though each of the others offers some benefit in comfort (SLK), price (G37), or all-wheel-drive ability (TT).
The Boxster's sporting purity outshines the Z4's, but at the expense of a noisy cabin and a soft top.
