Ranging in price from $46,250 to more than $60,000, the 2013 Audi Q7 competes with a range of strong alternatives, including the 2013 Porsche Cayenne, 2013 BMW X5, 2013 Lincoln MKT, and the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL Class.

Though the Cayenne is the closest relation to the Q7, its lack of a third row means it's not as capacious, and its interior isn't as polished as the Audi's, though the Porsche does offer more off-road capability if that's important to you.

The Mercedes-Benz GL Class has a different, if equally stylish, take on SUV design, with new engines and options for 2013, and may be the Q7's strongest competitor.

The BMW X5 is, like the Cayenne, smaller than the Q7 inside, but offers even greater on-road performance, particularly in X5 M trim.

The Lincoln MKT is an unusual alternative, with similar space and style to the Q7, but with controversial exterior styling that will polarize shoppers--and then there's Lincoln's brand reputation, which may not carry the same weight as Audi to some luxury buyers.
