How does the
TCC Rating work?
The TCC Rating is a clear numeric rating value based on a 10-point scale that reflects the overall opinion of our automotive experts on any vehicle and rolls up ratings we give each vehicle across sub-categories you care about like performance, safety, styling and more.

Our rating also has simple color-coded “Stop” (red), “Caution” (orange),
or “Go” (green) messages along with the numerical score so you can easily understand where we stand at a glance.

Our automotive experts then also collect and show you what other websites say about these different aspects of any vehicle. We do this leg work for you to simplify your research process.

The Audi A5, S5, and RS 5 are all about choice: convertible or coupe; four-, six-, or eight-cylinder engines; CVT, automatic, or manual transmission.

The variety goes unmatched by most of its competition.

The BMW 4-Series is new this year--it's the car formerly known as the 3-Series Coupe--but it's lacking its convertible and M editions, for now.

The Mercedes C-Class is only offered as a coupe (and sedan), but it's in lockstep with the A5 in offering all those engines as well as fluid handling and optional all-wheel drive.

The Infiniti Q60--what we used to call the G37--comes as either a coupe or a hardtop convertible, but performance isn't on par with the hottest RS5.

Cadillac's CTS lineup has a new sedan this year, but the coupe is a carryover--and it still comes in awesome CTS-V form.

Finally, the Lexus IS is new for 2014, but it's only offered as a sedan, for now; handling's better and so is styling, but it's still not up to par with the others in this class.

Forget this model's recent past; the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class takes a half-step up in size and a full step ahead of its peer set in sophistication -- and it's now one very charming luxury car.

The 2014 BMW 4-Series stays resolutely in the same orbit as the last 3er two-door: everything's just a little better than it was, except its steering and its styling.
