Bottomline The 2009 Pontiac G6 models have appealing styling inside and out, but they fail to wow in most other respects. The 2008 Toyota Camry Solara has a creamy ride and a luxurious interior, but even a convertible top can't sharpen its dull handling and nondescript styling.

  • Value Leader model is a bargain

  • Coarse engines on all but GXP model
  • Interior materials look and feel cheap
  • Uninspiring handling
  • Iffy safety

Likes:

  • Plush ride
  • Luxurious interior
  • Lots of available features
  • Convertible seats four

  • Mushy handling
  • Nondescript styling
