Bottom Line The 2008 Jeep Commander is good Jeep (a trail-capable vehicle), but it's not a great people mover. The 2008 Toyota 4Runner isn’t as roomy or as efficient as newer crossover designs, but if you need towing or off-road capabilities, it’s a good, safe choice.
