Bottomline The Caliber has a very practical layout and quite a few innovative features to get excited about, but it's lacking in driving enjoyment or refinement--even compared to its low-priced competition. The 2008 MINI Cooper S Clubman--extroverted styling in a slightly bigger package with more power makes for a fun car that is hard not to look at with a broad smile.
