Bottomline The 2008 Cadillac SRX is handsome and capable, but poor fuel economy and a small third-row seat cut into its usefulness. The 2009 Infiniti FX offers a truly distinctive shape and sportscarlike acceleration. If you need to haul plywood or lots of kids, though, look elsewhere.
