Bottomline The 2008 BMW 3-Series sedan has the best overall driving experience in its class and remains the gold standard among mid-size sport sedans. Can’t make up your mind between practicality and performance in a convertible? The 2010 Lexus IS 350C is a nice, sporty middle ground for top-down thrills. The 2008 Volvo C70 feels light and gets lighter with the top down -- just don’t plan on taking many friends or much cargo along for the ride.
