I'll go with Apple on this one. There is no guarantee here. But whether Geely Motors will permit Volvo to advance in the face of competition, particularly from Mercedes which beat Volvo to the punch in a number of safety areas is a huge question in my mind. Chinese companies are in a position, given their home market's size, to do as they damn well please. We've already witnessed the demise of the much-loved Volvo wagons.

Let's face it, Volvo's image is not a luxury car company, but a safety car company (has been for many years). They have made many claims to this over the years, despite the company's desire to be seen as a luxury car company. Apple is not in the car business. Which company can do more for auto safety? It's a no-brainer.
