I bought a JX in July and have a little more than 3,000 miles on it. Haven't directly had the issue being discussed here. While driving in town I keep the DCA off, which is the sensor that will stop the car if it senses an imminent collision. In fact you have to turn it on via a steering wheel button to engage the sys. On the freeway in stop & go traffic it is a great little tool and I use it all the time there--when traffic makes sudden stops the car identifies that quickly and helps you slow down. If you keep the system engaged in town it picks up obstacles that aren't really there (cars in opposite turn lanes, etc...) and will slow or stop you when you don't want to. My advice is for owners to better identify when to use the sys.
