I think that it is a good move for GM,if the reason for doing so is related to a group who is not willing to look at making changes in the present Gun Control laws.
On the other hand I do not feel that You or I should be notified, who donates money to which party. That is a personal decision and should not be made public.

if you or I as private US citizens donate to a party it is and should be considered a personal or private decision. When a public company donates to a party or withdrawls support of any particular group...because of that groups standards or goals....that should not be considered private info and yes the PUBLIC should be allowed to know without all the drama of the multi layer cover ups.....that is the difference between private individuals and public companies in my humble opinion :)

Of course, a corporation such as GM is entitled to support and lobbying for its benefit. You and I can do the same with our Congress critters. But this is just another way for Government Motors to honor its master -Obama - and another reason I hope the corp fails and goes back on the open market w/o g'mt interference.

Being a Republican has nothing to do with it. I know from personal experience how corrupt and inept the old GM bosses were. The corporation should have been allowed to fail by bankruptcy, so that the useful factories and workers could be taken over by other (non-UAW) entities. Ford, Nissan, Honda and Toyota demonstrate intelligent management of US workers. The cronies put in charge at new GM are having a hard time coping with the younger generation salaried and hourly staff. For instance, it appears that the Cadillac division is doing a great job!

Why should GM support a group who was pulling for its bankruptcy? So you hope GM fails? You are an idiot and an unpatriotic dolt.

I am currently in the market for a car. I drive an 09 Malibu and was considering buying a new Malibu. After reading this I will likely wait and get a new Fusion.

Good for you Gerald. You aren't the only one that feels this way.
