The only thing I object to in these bailouts is General Motors hasn't paid their share back to the taxpayers. Instead, they invest in Peugeot and continue to show high profits. Chrysler went in the other direction by paying their loans back early and showing quarterly operating losses. My next vehicle, Chrysler.

I totally disagree with the bailout. Chrysler and GM got themselves into their respective "mess" largely of their own doing. Each company was at the time producing hundreds of gas sucking trucks and SUV's especially when the price of gas was at $4+ a gallon and they weren't building the small fuel effieciet cars, cross-overs and small SUV's people wanted. Those full size gas sucking trucks and SUV's were and still are their cash cows. I feel they got themselves into9 the mess they were in get out the best way possible. It comes down to a large ammount of upper management incompatence and mis-managenent! Plus, they had the idea if we build it they'll but it....WRONG!!!
