Another example of stupid American auto CEO thinking. No diesels or wagons. Looks like the only choice in our so called "free" country, the USA for a diesel powered wagon remains the VW TDI Jetta Sportwagon & for a hatchback, the VW TDI Golf. I wish we had a diesel option for Kia & Hyundai with their 100,000 mile 10 year driveline warrenty.

I own a 2011 Cruze, and for me it was love at first sight. I cannot wait to see the 2013 wagon! I'm looking to fall in love all over again.

I'd buy a Cruze Eco (manual) wagon in a second. Great MPGs and lots of space. The current Elantra Touring was eliminated from my shopping list solely due to its mediocre gas mileage. Choice of roomy, hi-MPG wagons in the US are virtually non-existent. The Prius wagon is a good combo of size and economy, but driving dynamics are nil. Mazda needs to put the Sky-Activ engine in the 5 and that would make for a fun, efficient ride with lots of utility. Ford's C-Max is looking promising, but it's a pity they dropped the sliding doors and I fear its price may take it off my shopping list.
