When you advertise something like a car, you're either telling the truth or you're lying. A car built in Mexico ain't built in the US, and a car built in Canada ain't made in America.

I have a Ford pickup built in Canada in 1971; I'm the original owner. The builders' plate clearly says "Made in Canada." It's been one heck of a truck, and still is. But it ain't made in America.

Ok last time I checked Canada is in America... North America and we are the USA which stands for United States of America.. We are USA not America.. So if its a plant built in North America most say its built in America.. But does that mean if its built in South America its America... Hmm to wonder these things is mind numbing...

Well, it was made in America. It wasn't made in the United States but last time I checked Mexico IS in America...

if they want to split hairs.. the 300C's V8 is made in mexico.. most of the 300's will have the Pentastar. Which may or may not be made in Mexico.. The transmissions are built in the USA.. the Car was Designed in the USA, many of the parts come from the USA. and as another person pointed out.. Mexico and Canada are part of North AMERICA..

    Any advertising should be correct.
Advertising, by its nature, needs to be correct in its general interpretation and implied meaning, not just in its factual content.
The only way the American economy will recover is if we start building things in America. Promoting "Made in America", at all levels, is the best way to do this.

This is nothing new. F*rd (i'm not allowed to use dirty 4 letter F words) has been claiming their f-150 was the best selling truck for the last however many years. The ONLY way they can say that is splitting GM into Chevy and GMC. Do the math, check the figures, F*rd does NOT sell more trucks than General Motors, Never have, never will. But the Sheeple still believe it, so.....

And going against the Imported from Detroit slogan is just stupid. Where is Motor City? Detroit. Where do people think of the Big 3 being located? Detroit. So why complain? It's a marketing slogan, not the end of the world people. Grow up!

Although US auto manufacturers have come a very long way in a very short time period, they must be commended. But the old saying " The three least trusted professions are Lawyers, Politicians and car salesman. How True, How True !!!!

@DRUFFO4291, that's probably why most politicians are either lawyers or former car salesmen...
