Lets hope the Chevy can shake the curse of terrible reliability that the present Colorado has.

That's why I didn't buy one because I heard GM was going to put a neutered I6 = I5 in it. Glad I bought a 2K6 Nissan Frontier instead!

neutered I6???? The inline 6cyl was the most durable engine ever made!! If their engineers get it right not only would it be durable but fuel efficient.

WOW! A Honda Ridgeline in a bow-tie. How cutting edge. Let's hope the CO is cheaper, at least.

Hopefully, this will convince Ford to bring the new Ranger to the US.

@Big Dave, I'm with you on this. Bring the highest output diesel, too.

@Ray Hathaway.. how do you fig its a Ridgeline.. because it has a bed cover on that give it a slanted look.. Key word bedcover. what ever they do they need to offer 6 speed manual trans on all levels with a Diesel.. I would love to see this truck get around 30mpg with one.. They say oversea's with the smaller diesel stick combo
    it gets over 30

If GM is going to using that same I5 POS then it's doomed from the start!

Rumored I6 back in the day the I6 was the most dependable engine on the road.

  • USAFANG67 avatar USAFANG67 Posted: 9/17/2012 7:59am PDT

Great news for those who know the legacy of the I6.

If they offer it with a I6 diesel back by a 6 speed manual and good rear ratio for fuel economy it will easily get 30+ mpg. I assume it will no matter what it is powered by because in 2015 the new epa standard take effect requiring all light trucks to get minimum 28mpg.
