Harpoon the ugly beast and place the designers in shackles so we can pelt rotten tomatoes at them!
What is it with the modern world where no one can admit they made a mistake. Car makers can't hide, people vote with their cash and have voted no on this monstrocity. Accept it, bow in appology and make something interesting (like a real successor to CRX not that silly hybrid thingy)

@Reece, it's not just contemporary designers - do you remember the AMC Matador? Edsel?

I have this V6 engine in my Accord coupe - take a little getting used to as the engine feels like it's missed firing a spark plug when the fuel saving mode kicks in... but the mileage is worth it... but when will Honda catch up to Hyundai in automatic transmission?!!!

I just have to laugh when a car company claims a 4-door looks like a coupe. WE'RE NOT IDIOTS! Only coupes look like a coupe. It's like calling a hatchback a "5-door". Yeah right.

It is an odd looking vehicle, but the interior is quite nice. My neighbor bought one as he did the Ridgeline. Another neighbor told him, "you are ruining our property values and bringing the neighborhood down. He told him, "I got them cheap"! Hmm!

Is anybody buying these things to make it worth while for Honda to continue making them?

  • fb_1491948054 avatar Kurt Posted: 8/6/2011 12:50pm PDT

@Matt, Honda had previously lumped Crosstours in with Accords, and I don't recall seeing a separate sales report by Accord model. It's a safe bet that sales to date have been "underwhelming."

They did go quite far enough with the name. They should have done a marketing tie-in with SeaWorld and named it the Honda Shamu. It's nice to see that the Pontiac Aztek designers have found a new home.

@Drew, I'm not sure I'd go that far, but it's certainly not the most attractive vehicle that Honda's ever penned.
