Why would GM want to buy back a company that they dumped a couple of years ago regardless of price or reasons. I sympathize with Saab's employee's and don't understand why a Country like Sweden, socialistic isn't it, doesn't bail them out like our "Commie", President did?

Sorry guys, but we don't see GM wanting to help Saab at this point. Hopefully the funding commitments and other parties involved can get things back on track before it's too late.

I would really hate to see such a reputable car maker die, but I doubt GM is the answer.

Maybe someone like GM could buy and save them?

I can not see GM chairman (Obama) going for that. IF there is anything worth salvaging I would thing BMW or VW or Mercedes would be more likely white knights. More likely, it will simply be allowed to die.

Wouldn't that be deja vu all over again?
