The 6speed will give it what....maybe 1MPG more?
How about if Honda put the Pilot on a DIET so it not so heavy(FAT)due to uses of cheap stamp or forged steel.
The 3.5 is obviously being taxed to it limit given how much mass it has to slog around.

Oops, I meant "thumbs up". That beast is heavy and akward looking.

Imagine, Honda discovered that transmission can have 6 speeds. If they look at their competitors they will discover they have 8 speeds. It took them too long to make the change. They have lost their way, period. Changing a grille will help me with my gas mileage. They still have the same engines, more of less.
Nothing New from Honda, while the other makers are leaving them behind.
Their Interior and appointment are outdated. The road noise is terrible.
Why buy a Honda when there are much better vehicle on the market?
Look at the CRV, still has 5 speeds and basically the same engine. No newer engines like Hyundai or GM, Ford etc. No quite interiors, period.

@hi100, you're aware that Chevy is still using a four-speed automatic on the 2011 Impala, right? And that the all-new-for-2011 Dodge Durango gets by with a five speed, as does the new Charger and Chrysler 300.

No competition in the $20-30K range has 6 speeds - sorry, dude.

    I meant 8 speeds :-)
