I have driven a stick all my driving career (30 years) currently driving an '09 Hyundai Sonata, after a string of Subarus.

You have much better control in the car as well as better brake wear, downshifting in snow, as well as better mileage and lower initial cost. Even my 88 year old mother drives stick (05 Honda Civic).

Unfortunatly, if a manufacturer does offer a stick, it is only offered on base models.

Great job, Hagerty Insurance! Let's be apart of helping manual transmissions to remain an integral part of owning and operating automobiles, they are a job beyond compare to drive. A new car that is said to have a nice shifter is the Mazda 2, BTW. Enjoy and great jobs, everyone!

Bryan, I couldn't agree more, and go out of my way to train drivers how to row their own gears. I know a dual-clutch gearbox is "better", but it's nowhere near as satisfying.
