VW wants to boost sales by 50%. Ford by 50% too. Now Nissan wants an additional 50% in sales. How is this supposed to work? Who is going to be the big loser in sales--Mitsu, Opel, Chrysler, Fiat?

Rich, not every automaker is going to hit their goals. Even backed by Renault, Nissan's plan sounds more than a little ambitious to me.

Nissan is very experienced; they launched the LEAF last year, so 52 new vehicles launched, mostly on paper, could actually work for them.

I count 56 vehicles being launched between 2011-2016 if you allow iterations of the same vehicle to be counted as a new launch and that next generations are also new; however, that drops to 34-36 if you don't count the iterations but allow the successors in. Add a little MMC, Renault and Samsung into the mix, and it may not be too far off for them to make that statement.
