As long as Fiat maintains Chrysler as a semi-independent division based in the United States and driven by domestic management teams,I belive this partnership will florish. Subjegate Chrysler to dictatorial Fiat control and the partnership dies a painful death IMO..

Ironically, Fiat climbed out of the tomb soon after GM was forced to pay the Italian carmaker 2 billion$ NOT to buy them...

And later in the year, the start of production of a 40-mpg small car jointly with Chrysler will add another 5 percent to the Italian automaker's stake, all for the 57-percent total.
That's what I'm talkin' about. Bring on the 40mpg Chrysler Giulietta.

Fiat(Fix It Again Tony) and Chrysler........the blind leading the blind IMHO.
