Aha! Maybe Nissan's move will bring about a better reaction from Ford. I've been among many who currently own a Ford Ranger and have pleaded for a new Ranger with a diesel engine. My 3.0l Edge gets a miserable 17 mpg in normal driving. But at seven years and 70k miles it still runs like the proverbial top and I'm loathe to buy any new truck unless it will give me significantly better mileage. If Ford doesn't change it's mind, looks like Nissan will be the choice as much as it pains me.

I really don't have a need for a full-size pickup but I would it if Nissan brought the Frontier to NA with a diesel engine.
