The government will "do something" as long as it does not negatively impact on their political contributions!

Remember, not one banker served a day in jail for ruining America. How many Big Oil executives will be brought up on charges of price gouging?

The same truck delivers gas to company gas stations throughout the city yet most stations have different prices. Even thought the oil was purchased and processed months ago, the slightest blip in the Middle East causes gas prices to spike overnight. If your politician doesn't actively fight this practice, vote them out and get someone who will be a champion of the people not special interests.

"Watchdog Team To Monitor Oil, Gas Markets For Fraud"
Pssst......hey Mr & Mrs Regulators......ya sure did take your good ole time to go about having this oversight committee taking a look at this did ya not?
Must we have a Govt. that is "reactive" rather than "proactive"?

All oil prices are controlled by a cartel. A cartel is a legal price fixing organization. If it existed in the US the government would be kicking the doors in with Morley Safer right behind.
Is there something the government thinks we are too stupid to understand with their pandering lip service to gas price control? What a crock of crap they spoon feed us and we eagerly lap it up! The government wants us in smaller cars, what better way to make it happen than allowing gas prices to go through the roof? And maybe form a committee to make sure we aren't gouged.
    Lying weasels.
