I'm a firm believer in leasing. Leasing is not for everyone that's for sure. My only complaint is many domestic car leases offerred are for 39 months but their warranties only run for 36. Many foreign makers offer a 4-5 year warranty on a 36 month lease.

Leasing is a perfect market for EV/Hybrid vehicles.
Who wants to own(buy) one of these when say you have 80k miles on the OD and battery bank warranty is 100k miles?

DRUFFO, I've generally put too many miles on a car (usually 35k per year) to even consider leasing. I agree that it's a viable alternative if you can live within the terms of the lease contract.
Matt, good point and I'll add one more: no one knows what the value of a used Volt or Leaf will be in 3 to 5 years. Leasing is the most sensible option (from a financial perspective) for these cars right now.
