Paul Scott Posted: 4/8/2011 3:50pm PDT It sounded like a great idea until I found out I was required to have a title (not just a salvage title) in order for me to donate my car. I bought the car as a project, but have not had the time to work on it. Too much time and effort required to get the paperwork done to donate the car, so I decided to keep it and tinker on it when I can find the time. Anthony Gauntner Posted: 3/16/2011 12:09pm PDT Most people donate cars to non profits for four reasons..A)Tax benefits B)Act of charitable giving to aid organizations C)They don't want the hassle of selling an older vehicle dealing with strangers & con artists D)combination of all of the above. A great non profit CARS4CHRISTMAS.org will arrange to get your donated vehicle, perform needed repairs and re-gift it to veterans , hereos and people who need basic transportation to get to work so they can get their lives back together after trageties, illnesses, homelessness ect. Terry the car santa, has helped hundreds of people who just need transportation to get their lives going in the right direction again.
