    I don't think Ford realy earned the award. Now if they would offer their European diesel you would then have the option of a 60 MPG Fiesta & a 40 MPG Transit Connect. Are the other manufacturers going to leave all the small "affordable" diesel market to VW? I owned a 1983 Nissan Sentra diesel that averaged 42+ MPG over the 50,000 miles I drove it, including LA city traffic. My highest priority is fuel economy & I hate sharring any more money than I can with "Big Oil" who doesn't want us to have fuel efficient cars. Wait till this recision is over & we start paying $5 to $6 a gallon for gas & diesel. Then the people, who have such short memories will start crying for fuel efficient cars.
