    Great comments, everyone. The data included gender of drivers ticketed, not a brand/make's overall buyer gender breakdown. Re: Hummer H2, it's actually 73 percent male, 27 percent female. Typo (or else I need glasses). Sorry.
    I know there have been other studies in the past that took car color into account, but not this one. And each study has its own take or slant on the issue, no doubt. Still, I found this an interesting story. Again, thanks to everyone for your perceptive observations.

    Since this data came from an analytics company that works for the insurance company I'm going to guess the data was skewed. Perhaps these are the cars of drivers least likely to take a drivers education or deferred adjudication course to prevent the mark from reaching their insurance company?

    Just wondering, is the gender split for the percentage of males/females that drive each car. Or is the gender split for the percentage of males/females that got tickets. ie for the GTI, are 44% of people that drive that car male. Or is it that 44% of tickets given to GTI's had male drivers.
