That is not going to happen... this car is not traditional enough.
They need to freshen up the Town Car, that will keep sales going. They also need to keep the V8, RWD, body on frame construction.
If I didn't have Town Cars available, my only viable option is to go with a GMC TopKick.

People don't like to be chauffered around in station wagons. Luxury means RW drive, comfortable sedans. Corporate executives demand none other. A station wagon/crossover is not a limo and Ford has done a disservice in not providing the industry a suitable luxury sedan for this purpose.

DO NOT LIKE THE STATION WAGAN LOOK THE TOWN CAR IS ALWAYS THE WAY TO GO FOR US IN THE LIMO BUSINESS WHY MESS UP SOMETHING THAT IS GOING TO COST FORD LOTS OF MONEY THAT WORKS FOR US, CAN YOU AFFORD THAT?SOMEONE ELSE WILL BUILD A TOWN CAR AND FORD WILL LOSE OUT.

Look, I am a Limousine Chauffeur, and have been for almost 20 years! I have driven just about every type of Luxury car made! anything with wheels on it. I will tell you right now! that this Junk Wagon that Ford is trying to sell to the Limousine industry is a Joke! and the Joke is and will be on Ford! This junk will never make it into even 10% of any Limousine fleet.

The MKT Town Car could easily compete with the 2011 Mercedes-Benz R-Class 4-door R350 4Matic Sport Wagon. I've watched shows use the R-Class as a limo. This introduced the concept of being driven in an R-Class was a sign of status and luxury. I think Lincoln has to produce media to help people get their heads around the idea of a MKT Town Car. Lincoln can easily do this by placing MKT Town Cars in drama shows.

The MKT Limousine would make a fine Chauffer driven vehicle for taking my groceries home from the supermarket. As for the glamourous Red Carpet arrival, it seems Lincoln will leave that to Cadillac and Chrysler. The MKT seems alright in it's own right (apart from the silly naming they use these days), however it is not a serious candidate as a limousine.

Your title "Ford Hopes.." is exactly correct - they are "hoping". As we all know, hope is not a strategy.
