Question- Is there any indication how this move would affect those who have OnStar-enabled vehicles whose manufacturer has since been sold by GM?
I recently purchased a 2008 SAAB, and just discovered that if I want to use the telephone in my car, I would have to subscribe to the OnStar system at $20 per month, and THEN pay an additional $40 per month for 100 minutes of calling time. The OnStar system in my vehicle is not compatible with any other system, and can't be removed since it is pretty well integrated into the vehicle. If there is any hope for driving down these prices, I would be very happy. Then again, given GM's track record, my expectations are realistic.... thanks!
