While they are recalling them, why don't they address the paint issue on the front end of the car?

Why buy a Suzuki (if you can find a dealership int he first place) if you can get a superior Camry or an Accord for less... I'm surprised they sold 2K already or is Suzuki a premium brand now?

@JKD: Have you ever DRIVEN a Camry? [YAWN] The Kizashi drives like a sports car, not the minivan-like mush of the Camry.

JKD, where are you seeing this? I see Camry starting about $400 and Accord about $2000 above Kizashi, both with less equipment. Maybe with Toyota incentives you're right.

I bet all car manufacturors wished the recalls they've had were for something like a dash compartment door lol.
As far as why buy a Suzuki rather than a Camry or an Accord, the Kizashi out-performs both of those cars and comes better equipped for a lower price. Suzuki also has a better warranty that either Honda or Toyota. 7 yr, 100,000 miles. I would say those are some pretty good reasons lol. Suzuki also offers similar rebate incentives.

That doesn't sound very severe - both the problem and the number of effected cars, but good for Suzuki for doing it anyway. Gives them some extra reliability credit.

Recalls are so common that I wonder how much it deters from the brand. However, kudos to Suzuki for jumping on this probably not very dangerous issue.
While they are at it, maybe they should choose another name for the vehicle.

Not very common for a suzuki car...

Why don't they call it the Suzuki kZ? Sounds kinda cool, and still references the Kizashi name. And why don't they start spending some money on advertising? I've never seen a Kizashi commercial on TV. Great car.....but not even on the radar screen in America.
