The flip side of these good times for car buyers are decreased supplies and bad times for car buyers when this recession is all over. If you are looking for a car, now is definitely the time. Great post!

Stumbled across this. very cool idea. should make for a very useful site. Quick question -- Honda Pilot or Toyota Highlander? Tough call, no? Thanks!

very, very much looking forward to your advice going forward. my biggest area of pain is the "lease v own" question. know there are "calculators" out there. wondering which one may be best.

What would also be helpful would be knowing how the dealer arrives at their costs and what can and can't be negotiated. Also some strategies.

The more informed the buyer is the better chance they have of not getting ripped off. The most important rule I think is: If something seems too good to be true, it probably isn't.

Totally agree with David -- this is such an important topic area for car consumers. So much to know, and knowing is power when it comes to making a smart purchase !

All these tips are nice, but if you fall into the hands of a skilled salesman, you WILL spend more than you planned to.
