I disagree with most of these comments here. So much so, that I bought 2 brand new 2011 Legacy cars today. They are the base models, one blue, one silver, with the CVT transmission. I traded in a Ford Fusion and Mercury Mariner as I really wanted the All Wheel Drive. As to speed, it's actually only .3 seconds slower in the 0-60 than a Corolla, and it's significantly heavier and bigger. That is negligible for anybody over the age of 35. Next, the MPG for freeway is 31. That is no slouch with an average of 26 combined. Again, very respectable. However, I looked at everything and NOTHING came close to the features, build quality, and overall performance of this car for anywhere near $21,000. Enough said. I truly feel I got much more car than I paid for- times two! We're very happy!

Wish that the exterior didn't look so much like my Grandmother's Chrysler. The geriatric appearance has me hoping that my '06 lasts for a few more years until Subaru does a restyling. I love my Subaru, to replace it, I would like a return to its sporty appearance. I intended to purchase a new Legacy soon. Now I'll have to wait or consider another manufacturer.

It's not too inefficient but the base engine is extremely (dangerously) slow (even a Corolla smokes it from 0-60). Too bad Bengt deletes my comments like that - he must not like me very much.

So when is Subaru going to start making a car that gets good gas mileage?

    Wow. Slow news day?
