If they actually clean your carpets to the point where they look like new, you're ahead of the game. My Toyota dealer leaves dirty paper mats in the footwells half the time, they're under such pressure to crank it out.

For those in Northern climates, what about the extra season of road salt soaking through the carpets? They going to extend the corrosion warranty too?

well, give them credit for following through on what they said they would - obviously a little late vis a vis PR. have to say i assume they wish they could have the past 12 months back w/r/t image management

Maybe Toyota should be throwing in some free ice cream or something fun as well? :-)

This is too little late but I doubt Toyota's reputation will be tarnished in the long term.

I actually just turned down the replacement floormats for my Prius. The updated floormats are a lot lower quality than the original all-weather floormats. They're thinner, don't fit as well, and don't have nearly the "wall" around the edge to keep water and slush from leaking onto the carpet. Since they shortened the gas pedal as part of the recall, I can't see how the pedal could possibly come in contact with the mat unless you were dumb enough to unhook the floormat from the fastener that keeps it in place.
