I have $27K in my pocket just waiting to be dropped on the 140 HP diesel Mahindra :-) It's probably a much better deal than what the Chinese will try to lure me to their compact pickup trucks with.

Sign me up for a test drive! Ever since I heard of these trucks I’ve been dying to get my hands on one of them. Bengt Halvorson is absolutely right in saying that the Mahindra trucks will bring some fresh rivalry in the neglected compact/midsize segment of the pickup market. There is currently no pickup with all the qualities and features of the Mahindra trucks: compact, excellent payload, impressive fuel mileage and a clean diesel engine (co-developed by Mahindra and Bosch, a German company). And with the phasing out of the Ford Ranger, Dodge Dakota and, possibly, the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon, there is a definite need for Mahindra’s trucks.

I have spent 5 years waiting for this product. Thank goodness Mahindra is finally stepping in with a 30MPG pickup. I am ready to buy. Looking forward to the future of Fuel Efficient common rail diesel pickups.

    USA,
Yea, remember to buy American. I worked for GM and almost got fired for working too hard and not making enough mistakes. Go work on the assembly line for a week and then order a new American vehicle. Why do you think 40 years ago GM had 54% of the American market and now have less than 25%. Look up the facts for yourself!
