I heard about the pedal recall, but now a hybrid recall, the honda airbag recall and to think I could have had no idea if it affected my NON toyota car good thing I found more info here http://www.carpedalrecall.com
searched for my make, model, year and found my car had been recalled so look out! it could save a life maybe yours

don't understand how serious or what the car pedal recall is about?
just watch this video at the end it also shows how to stop a out of control car very useful

So much for the thousands of hours of testing - you'd think airbags would be a priority. I wonder what's not getting tested..

I applaud Honda's voluntary expanded recall. However, this move may have been done only as a safeguard after Toyota faced a series of recalls. In addition, it is unfortunate that one person has already died due to this airbag problem. Auto makers should be responsible in designing and producing vehicles because the safety of drivers and passengers depends on it.

@Ed: Don't worry, at some point, every automaker gets to endure the recall line (and the subsequent public relations nightmare). Perhaps you remember the great Ford/Firestone debacle of 2000?

  • Alex Posted: 2/10/2010 7:33pm PST

There's a big difference here. It's voluntary, and I don't hear any denial.

Totally agree that Honda seems to have stepped up without the NHTSA beating them about the head & shoulders. Maybe it took Toyota's example, to make it happen, but ... kudos Honda.

  • Americancarhater Posted: 2/10/2010 9:28pm PST

Honda is covering it's ass because clearly some people high-up in the US Government are FABRICATING ways to tarnish Honda and Toyota vehicles, so our crappy American cars have a slight chance of keeping a positive image (junk heaps that GM and Ford ARE)...

If you have to buy a foreign car, buy from the Germans.

HA HA, the japs are pathetic. Stick to the home team.
