I tested the Ford Active Park Assist in a Lincoln MKT. Waaaaay better than the Toyota APGS. Much easier to operate because it isn't as finicky when choosing a space to parallel park. The parking maneuver was done on the first try (where as it took me 6 tries trying to parallel park a 2010 Prius), and gets the car much closer to the curb. Ford's system took a good idea and made it better, IMO

Nice piece, Bengt. I dropped our west coast man a quick note, suggesting he should get you into a Ford with Active Park Assist asap -- I guess that would be an "APA ASAP." Anyhow, will see what we can do. Mark Schirmer, Ford Communications
