    They deserve it if so. They've done about as much right as anyone, and it seems like the market is rewarding them. Go Big Blue (Oval)!

    FORD has great cars-as does GM. The problem with GM is they keep apologizing and talking about re-inventing, re-thinking. This message makes GM owners feel like we should have waited.

    Ford will always be the smart American automaker. Sure it has made some of the same mistakes as GM and Chrysler but it rectified them long ago and today builds a whole array of great products across the globe. Good on them, they deserve it.

    A lot of people regret Ford's decision to get rid of its premier auto group brands like Aston Martin and Jaguar but in the end the hard decisions made early have helped Ford whereas for GM and Chrysler it was a little too late.

    Ford has a really great fleet of vehicles now. The new Taurus is a brilliant car, and the Fusion redesign is stunning. Way to go Ford.

    I think it comes down to corporate structure. Remember earlier this decade when everyone was reporting that GM still made cars by committee?
